Another Powerful Partnership: Work Progresses at the George Avenue Reservoir Site
July 3, 2017
Windsor ON: Work is progressing on the construction of our new water reservoir at the A.H. Weeks Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Windsor. On Thursday, June 2, Kenaidan, WUC, ENWIN and City officials hosted neighbours and members of the local media, on site, for a sneak peek at the facility currently under construction.
Then it was back to work for the crew, who are aiming for a completion date in 2018. The new reservoir will hold 35 million litres water, enough to ensure that production, storage and delivery of water will continue, even if the existing reservoir is temporarily out of service. Once the project has been completed, the City of Windsor Parks Department will return the property to a public park.
Recognizing a need to continue to protect a reliable source of safe drinking water for the residents of Windsor, LaSalle and Tecumseh, ENWIN is building a new water reservoir. From time to time as the project progresses, we will share our progress, our partnership news and our commitment to building an asset that will ensure a safe, reliable supply of water to our community for many years to come.
