ENWIN Supports Learning Opportunities at The Safety Village
Friday, April 20, 2018
Windsor, ON:On July 18 2018, ENWIN and The Safety Village announced an exciting educational partnership. A donation from ENWIN provided new workstations to enhance classroom learning at The Safety Village.
The ENWIN Learning Tables will support the ongoing safety education programs offered by The Safety Village year-round.
“The ENWIN Learning Tables are present in all three of our safety education classrooms,” said Melissa Lauzon, Executive Director of the Safety Village. “The new tables truly benefit the interactive learning environments on a day-to-day basis.”
As a company dedicated to safety, ENWIN finds the partnership with The Safety Village an ideal fit.
“We believe it’s tremendously important to educate children and their families about how to stay safe,” noted Barbara Peirce Marshall, Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Relations.
In addition to supporting the classroom education programs, ENWIN also proudly supports the Neighbourhood Watch initiative developed by The Safety Village. More than 185 ENWIN vehicles now display the Neighbourhood Watch emblem. As a partner organization with first responders, ENWIN is charged with helping to keep the community safe.
“Our employees make safety their priority, day in and day out,” said Peirce Marshall. “They are proud and pleased to have received training from The Safety Village and the Neighbourhood Watch Program to allow them to keep an eye on neighbourhoods and to help out with safety initiatives, as well.”
The announcement took place as part of The Safety Village’s Walk-in-Wednesday program, which is open to the public. This week’s session gave kids and parents an opportunity to take an ENWIN bucket truck ride for a great view of the Safe City, an outdoor learning environment, where children are free to walk, ride bikes or drive mini electric vehicles to learn about traffic safety.
