Seminole Street Infrastructure Renewal Project from Central Avenue to George Avenue

Windsor, ON: As part of an ongoing infrastructure renewal program by the Windsor Utilities Commission (WUC), Coco Paving will undertake the following construction project, beginning Wednesday, October 11, 2017, weather permitting:

  • Construction of a new 300mm PVC watermain on Seminole Street from Central Avenue to George Avenue.

Please note that traffic will reduced to one lane controlled by flag persons during working hours on Seminole Street, for the duration of the project.  The project is expected to take approximately 8 weeks to complete.  While every effort will be made to minimize traffic impacts and afford local access to residents, occasional delays can be expected. To ensure the safety of our workers, we request that motorists exercise safety precautions when approaching construction sites in their local vicinities.

About Windsor's Electricity and Water Operations:

The Windsor Utilities Commission (WUC) owns the water production and distribution infrastructure in the City of Windsor.  WUC also owns the downtonw District Energy heating and cooling facilities.

ENWIN Utilities Ltd. (ENWIN) is the licensed water system operator for the WUC-owned water system. ENWIN is also a licensed electricity distribution company serving customers in the City of Windsor.
