Windsor, ON – ENWIN Utilities Ltd. is conducting pressure testing as part of the Windsor Utilities Commission’s Central Corridor Feedermain project near Langlois Avenue and Grand Marais Road East. The testing is necessary to ensure new watermain infrastructure meets the highest safety standards before entering service.

As part of standard industry procedures, crews will use National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) international-certified, food-grade, non-toxic dye during testing. Consequently, nearby drainage areas may appear green from the non-toxic dye used for testing. This controlled process helps verify pipe integrity and deliver safe, reliable drinking water to Windsor residents.

Testing Process Facts:

  • Pressure testing is contained within the new feedermain infrastructure.
  • The impacted feedermains have no connection to active drinking water supply.
  • Full system flushing and retesting will be completed before the infrastructure is operational and placed into service.

ENWIN thanks residents for their patience during this important infrastructure upgrade.
The Central Corridor Feedermain project strengthens Windsor's drinking water system for continued reliable service
