Windsor, ON: As part of an ongoing infrastructure renewal program by the Windsor Utilities Commission (WUC), Rapid Drainage Ltd. will undertake the following construction project, beginning Monday, December 1, 2025, weather-permitting:

  • New 400 mm watermain installation and Meter Chamber

Morton Drive, west of Ojibway Parkway to the Essex Terminal Rail tracks, will be closed to both westbound and eastbound traffic with no access for three weeks to December 19, 2025. Traffic will be detoured around the work zone via Ojibway Parkway and Old Front Road in LaSalle.

Lane restrictions will also take place on Morton Drive, east of Ojibway Parkway. The eastbound lane of Morton Drive will be closed for approximately 50 m, east of Ojibway Parkway.

While every effort will be made to minimize traffic impacts and afford local access to residents and businesses, occasional delays can be expected. To help keep our workers safe, we ask motorists to slow down, obey posted signage and stay alert when approaching or passing through the construction zone.
