Windsor, ON: The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) will conduct a routine voltage reduction test on Thursday, July 23, 2026, as part of mandatory testing of emergency operating measures used to support the reliability of Ontario’s electricity system.

The test will take place during two scheduled periods: a 3% voltage reduction from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a 5% voltage reduction from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Customers should not notice any impact on their electrical service during the test, and no action is required. Customers can continue using electricity as they normally would.

Routine testing helps ensure emergency procedures remain effective and supports the ongoing reliability and stability of Ontario's power grid.
