Windsor, ON: As part of the Windsor Utilities Commission's ongoing infrastructure renewal program, Rapid Drainage will resume construction activities beginning Wednesday, July 22, 2026, weather permitting. The project includes:
Road Closure and Detour Information
Morton Drive, from Ojibway Parkway west to the Essex Terminal Railway tracks, will be closed to both eastbound and westbound traffic until the end of August. No access will be available to local residents within the closure limits during this period. Traffic will be detoured around the work zone via Ojibway Parkway and Old Font Road in LaSalle.
Additional Lane Restrictions
Lane Restrictions will also be required on Morton Drive east of Ojibway Parkway.
Traffic and Safety
Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions and maintain local access where possible. However, motorists should expect periodic delays while construction is underway.
To help protect workers and the public, drivers are reminded to slow down, follow posted signage, and use caution when travelling near the construction zone.
