Windsor, ON: As part of the Windsor Utilities Commission’s (WUC) ongoing infrastructure renewal program, Sterling Ridge Infrastructure continues construction on the following project:
Traffic Update: Improved Flow on Walker Road
To support traffic movement during construction, two lanes are now open in each direction along Walker Road. This marks a key milestone in the project and has improved traffic flow through this high-traffic corridor.
The project timeline continues, with completion anticipated at the end of August 2025.
Additional road work at the Walker and Tecumseh Roads intersection is being completed while traffic and lane controls are already in place. This coordinated approach helps minimize future disruptions, enhance long-term road durability, and reduce the need for subsequent construction in the area.
Along Tecumseh Road East, traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction between Factoria and Byng, with no left turns permitted at Walker Road.
While every effort will be made to minimize traffic impacts and maintain local access to residents and businesses, occasional delays should be expected. Motorists are asked to slow down, obey all posted signage, and remain alert when approaching or driving through the construction zone to help keep workers safe.
