Windsor ON: Spiderman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and of course, ENWIN’s very own Superheroes, were spotted again at this year’s John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC) Superhero Fun Day!
On Saturday, June 8, the ENWIN Superheroes gathered together with JMCC staff and numerous community volunteers to support a fun-filled superhero themed family event. Attracting over 600 guests, the day was nothing short of enjoyable!
The ENWIN Superheroes joined in the excitement by serving cotton candy, supervising entrances, painting faces, assisting with colouring activities, handing out prizes and helping eager superheroes safely soar above the crowd in a bucket truck.
As always, the bucket truck rides were a big hit with both parents and kids alike!
“I think people have always wondered what it would be like to go up in a bucket truck," said Danielle Friest, Senior Manager of Communications & Community Affairs at JMCC. "This gives them that opportunity. The guys that run the buckets are just awesome and the kids just love it!”
This was ENWIN’s third year participating in JMCC’s Superhero Fun Day, and once again, the event proved to be a rewarding experience for the Superhero volunteers.
“I like to see the looks on the kids’ faces when they get up there,” said Sean O’Rourke, Hydro Distribution Supervisor. “I love to see everybody enjoying themselves.”
Many thanks from ENWIN and the JMCC to all those who dedicated their Saturday to a great cause: Corey Catton, Jordan Catton, Brett Chaborek, Melanie Ingratta, Laura Johnston and her daughter Marisa, Mona Khalil and her son Hamoudy, Ethan Kopecky, Suzanne Leonard, Steve McWilliam and his son Bryce and friend Kane Murphy, Lyndsay Meloche, Chelsea Montgomery, Sean O’Rourke, Jeff St. Louis, Catherine Tan, Angelo Tiseo, Joe Tonkin, John-Paul Bonadonna and Rod Skill.
