A curb box is a 100 mm (4") diameter metal object located in your front yard, placed on or within inches of the property line. It usually looks like a metal disc, placed at grade level to allow lawn mowers or cars to pass over it.
The curb box must be accessible and operable at all times. It allows us to shut off the water to your home, to make plumbing repairs when needed.
If you bury you curb box in a finished driveway, any required exposure of the curb box and driveway repair will be at the homeowner’s expense.
