Windsor, ON: Young teens are one of our most vulnerable populations. Many have complex needs that make it difficult to be a child. That is why ENWIN Utilities Ltd. (ENWIN) has partnered with Stigma Enigma and Maryvale to bring Meals for Mental Health (M4MH) to Windsor, Ontario.

“We are proud to support Maryvale and Stigma Enigma in this initiative,” said Barbara Peirce Marshall, Manager Corporate Communications for ENWIN. “The caring they provide is fundamental to the wellbeing of families in our community.”

Meals for Mental Health

M4MH is a fundraising drive sponsored by Stigma Enigma in support of Maryvale. Starting on Saturday, November 6, more than 20 local restaurants in the Windsor area will offer the community a chance to help.

From November 6 to 13, customers who order a meal from a participating restaurant – whether for takeout, delivery or in-restaurant dinning – have the opportunity to make a donation of $5 or more, over and above the bill and tip. All donors will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a 65″ TV or a gift card to the restaurant where they are eating! That is 1 ballot per $5 donation… $20 = 4 ballots!

Many adolescents and families rely on Maryvale for a safe space to learn how to overcome their challenges. Events like M4MH are crucial for Maryvale to continue its heroic work in Windsor’s community.

“This is a wonderful, simple idea that works,” said Connie Martin, Maryvale’s Director. “We at Maryvale are so grateful to the restaurants for helping out like this, to the determined volunteers at Stigma Enigma, and to ENWIN for its support. All proceeds go to counselling for more local kids.”
