ENWIN & IBEW Local 636 Ratify Water Agreement

Windsor ON: ENWIN Utilities Ltd. (ENWIN) and the members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 636 have reached an agreement that has been ratified by both the IBEW and ENWIN.
After almost two days of mediation the IBEW and ENWIN reached an impasse at the bargaining table. With a strike deadline looming, the Union presented to the members the last offer by the Company. With 44 of 53 members present, the IBEW ratified the offer, thus averting a work stoppage.
The term of the tentative collective agreement will begin July 1, 2015 and will run until December 31, 2018.
ENWIN Utilities Ltd. (ENWIN) is the licensed water system operator for the water system owned by Windsor Utilities Commission. ENWIN is also a licensed electricity distribution company, serving customers in the City of Windsor. ENWIN works with Windsor to provide a safe, reliable source of electricity and water for our community.
