Interactive Map Informs ENWIN Outage Information

June 1, 2016

Windsor ON: ENWIN Utilities Ltd. (ENWIN) announced today that it has added an Outage Centre to its website, launching a new interactive map that will allow customers to check for outages in their area.

“We are excited to add this map to our customers’ tool kits, as an additional way of providing up-to-date information during storms and outage situations,” said ENWIN President and CEO, Helga Reidel.

The Outage Centre will provide a wide variety of information related to power outages, including outage safety, how to prepare for and report an outage, how power is restored, planned power interruptions, storm damage repair information, and a description of the emergency planning systems in place locally and provincially.

The Outage Centre will contain links to ENWIN’s new outage map, as well as the ENWIN Twitter feed, which also provides outage information.

The Outage Map will provide information about current outages, including the neighbourhood where an outage is in effect, the number of customers affected and the estimated time needed to restore power.

“During sustained outages, phone lines can get congested and customers experience frustration trying to get through. We hope that our new map will provide the information customers need to feel reassured that we are aware of service interruptions and working to restore power,” Reidel concluded.

The outage map is available starting today on the ENWIN website. Visit for details.
