Team Support Strong for Maryvale in 2017

August 18, 2017

Windsor ON: There are only 117 spots are still available for the Maryvale Night Run, taking place on Saturday, August 19, 2017. With record sign-ups from teams like the ENWIN Night Lighters, the event is on track to break a record for attendance.

“Our team has tripled this year,” commented ENWIN Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, Barbara Peirce Marshall. “We are so proud of all the employees who have signed up to support this very important event. We can’t wait to light up the night for Maryvale!”

Maryvale’s Assistant to the Executive Director, Carol Meyers, echoed the thought.

“The success of this race, and the welfare of some of our most hurting youth and families, rests on participation by our community partners, like ENWIN, Tim Hortons and the Running Factory,” she added. “With their help, we anticipate a record crowd this year. There is a lot of excitement in the air!”

All participants -- whether they run or walk - will receive a one-of-kind Night Run tee shirt from Maryvale. ENWIN is supplying Light-up-the-Night LED baseball caps for the first 300 people to sign up for the 5K family run, and there will also be a limited number of LED armbands from ENWIN.

Runners, and walkers, will time their strides to the upbeat tunes, of DJ Tim and friends, who also volunteered for the night, and all participants will receive a medal and refreshments, courtesy of Tim Horton's, at the finish line. Children are welcome to join in special dashes, starting at 8:30, and participate in face painting and other children’s activities.

Maryvale’s commitment to promoting recognition, understanding and assistance for mental and emotional health in our local youth is the heart-beat of this fundraiser.

“This is a great way to get involved in community support,” commented Peirce Marshall. “The event is upbeat and supports a very important cause. It shows participants that they can truly make a difference. We are proud to partner!”

“The ENWIN Night Lighters team is a great example of how we partner with local organizations to support the community,” said Carol Myers, Assistant to Maryvale Executive Director. “We hope their example will encourage everyone to come out and support mental health and awareness.”
